Volunteers and Interns
The Council has a deep and abiding respect and appreciation for the valuable work performed by volunteers. Volunteers are welcome to help for limited or extended periods of time. The work they do may involve clerical tasks, assisting at events, or manage projects. All are deeply appreciates.
Among the possible role for interns at the Council are:
Posting addresses on the Internet enables the Council to make every address available to all members. It allows the distinguished speakers program to be shared with those not attending formal presentations.
Educational conferences uniquely bring together faculty and students from around the state and give them a rare opportunity to hear and meet with policy makers. Sponsorship costs vary. Sponsors are thanked at the reception, when the speakers are introduced.
Internships may involve a combination of miscellaneous tasks or focus on a single project. A formal, recognized internship must last at least ninety hours. Internships for academic credit may be arranged in accordance with college rules. To apply for an internship, forward a short resume, a short statement of your interest in the Council and its activities, and, of course, our name , address, phone numbers and e-mail and fax/or fax, if available.
